Town Planner

The Towns of Durham and Middlefield, CT seek a full-time Town Planner shared between both municipalities. In addition to Planning responsibilities, position would include Zoning Enforcement and Inland Wetland Agent in Durham. Position provides full medical and retirement benefits. Salary Range $65,000 - $75,000 based on qualifications and experience. Job Description

Qualifications: This position requires a master’s degree in Planning or a related degree from an accredited college or program; and have experience in Planning or Community Development, or any equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Certification or working toward certification by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is required.

Public Works Department Temporary, Seasonal Laborers

The Town of Durham is seeking Temporary, Seasonal Laborers, June – August 2019, 40 hours per week, in the Public Works Department

Under the general supervision of the Road Foreman of Public Works, with direct guidance from more senior public works employees, provides general labor in support of a wide range of public works maintenance projects.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid Connecticut driver’s license and a good driving record and maintain both while employed in this position.

The qualifications listed above are guidelines. An equivalent combination of education and experience which results in the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform essential job functions may be considered.
